Mere Habits ("the app") is built by Matt West. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store:

• Email address — used for authentication. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only receive the relay address Apple provides.
• Display name — optional, shown to group members.
• Habit data — the categories, habits, and daily completions you create within your groups.
• Group membership — which groups you belong to, so other group members can see shared habits and completions.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: displaying your habits, syncing completions across group members, and maintaining your account. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication — to manage sign-in. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Cloud Firestore — to store and sync your data. Data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States.

Data sharing

Your habit completions and display name are visible to other members of groups you join. No data is shared with anyone outside your groups, and no data is shared with third parties beyond the infrastructure services listed above.

Data retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or leave a group, your associated data is removed.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your choices

• You can delete individual habits, categories, and completions at any time within the app.
• You can leave any group at any time.
• To delete your account entirely, contact mereappsdev@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
